Story of Harry Potter Database

It all started when…

… a 7-year-old boy found a book with an interesting sounding title and an intriguing cover at the local school library. He decided to give this book a try and he was hooked from the first sentence. This was the start of my Harry Potter obsession.

The idea of this website started when I wanted to sort and organize the different Harry Potter merchandise I was interested in collecting. I started with some simple Excel sheets. However, I soon found out this was not gonna work as I wanted to organize it a little different than Excel would allow.

Then I came up with the idea that I could create a website where I could sort Harry Potter merchandise with pictures and information about the items. My original plan was to create a private website for personal use. Later I changed my mind and decided that I should publish the website in case anyone stumbled across it and found it helpful.
